Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using rizitz in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What rizitz does

rizitz lets you photograph or upload receipts, automatically extracts the items, prices, and store from them, and organizes that information so you can review and total your spending over time. Extracted data may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate — you're responsible for checking and correcting it before relying on it.

3. Your account

• You can browse rizitz as a guest, but you need a free account (email, Google, or Apple) to scan receipts. If you sign up with email and a password, you'll need to confirm your email address before scanning.
• You must provide an accurate email address and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use rizitz.
• Tell us right away at support@rizitz.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload photos or content that aren't genuine receipts, or that you don't have the right to submit.
• Use rizitz to store or transmit unlawful, abusive, or infringing material.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to rizitz or its underlying systems.
• Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from the service.
• Create multiple accounts, or delete and re-create an account, to get more free scans than the Free plan allows.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the receipt photos and data you submit ("your content"). By using rizitz, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content back to you as part of operating the service — including sending receipt images to our third-party AI provider, Anthropic, after you agree to this in the app, solely to read and structure them on your behalf, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it to train our own models or share it with other users.

6. Plans & subscriptions

rizitz offers two plans:

• Free — 10 receipt scans every 30 days, with your full receipt history and search, and spending insights for the last 30 days.
• Personal Pro — 200 receipt scans every 30 days, all-time spending insights, PDF export, and priority support, for US$4.99/month or US$39.99/year in the United States. Prices vary by country, are shown in your local currency in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, and include applicable taxes where required.

Your scan allowance resets every 30 days from the start of your current period, not on the calendar month, and unused scans don't carry over. Deleting your account and signing up again with the same email doesn't reset the allowance: it continues from where it was. Personal Pro has no free trial.

Personal Pro is purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You can cancel or change your plan at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use Restore purchases in Settings to reconnect your subscription.

If we change subscription prices, we'll tell you in advance, and the change will apply from your next renewal. Deleting your rizitz account doesn't cancel an active subscription — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and features may change or be discontinued as the app evolves.

8. Intellectual property

rizitz's name, design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. These terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or code beyond using the app as intended.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

rizitz is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that receipt extraction will always be accurate, that the service will be error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs. rizitz is a personal organization tool, not financial, tax, or accounting advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of rizitz, including inaccurate spending data or lost records. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

11. Termination

You can stop using rizitz and delete your account at any time in the app, under You → Settings → Delete account. Remember to cancel any Personal Pro subscription in the App Store or Google Play as well. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you why.

12. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded rizitz from the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply:

• These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for rizitz and its content.
• Your licence to use rizitz is limited to using it on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for providing maintenance and support for rizitz. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
• If rizitz fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to rizitz, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are our responsibility.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to rizitz or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that rizitz or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using rizitz.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as rizitz evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in the app. Continuing to use rizitz after a change means you accept the updated terms.
